Due to family health reasons Simon Manchester has informed us that he will be unable to attend the 2024 Conference. God Willing we will make all efforts for Simon to attend our 2025 Conference. The organising committee is deeply indebted to Jonathan Lamb, Minister at large of Keswick Ministries for agreeing to address this year’s conference at such short notice.

Jonathan is a writer and teacher, and minister-at-large for Keswick Ministries. He has worked in local church ministry, then amongst students in the UK, and also globally with IFES. For many years he was the Director of Langham Preaching, an initiative which encourages pastors and lay preachers in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Europe, and then became the CEO for Keswick Ministries, supporting its development in the UK and around the world. Today he is often involved in teaching and training events on behalf of IFES, Langham Preaching and Keswick Ministries, whether in the UK or further afield.
He is the author of several books, including ‘Integrity: leading with God watching’ (IVP), ‘Preaching Matters’ (IVP), and books on Nehemiah, Habakkuk, 2 Corinthians, and James (published by Langham Preaching Resources). His most recent books are ‘Essentially One: striving for the unity God loves’ (IVP),and ‘Growing Healthy churches’ (Partnership Publications). Jonathan and Margaret live in Oxford, where they are members of St Andrew’s church, and they have three children and five energetic grandchildren.
The theme of the conference will be Trouble and Triumph at the same time from 2 Corinthians 4 and 5.
The conference meetings will take place on Thursday 20th June, Friday 21st June and Saturday 22nd June in St. Columba’s Church Stornoway. Jonathan will also preach on Sunday 23rd June in St. Columba’s Church and in Back Free Church, he will also speak at a fellowship meeting in Back following the service. All are welcome to attend.
